Dear Inquirer-- The answers are no, and no. The Bible says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." This verse applies to Ash Wednesday, the period of Lent and any other time. This verse applies to all the time. In God's eyes, all days are the same. We honor Him everyday. That is the meaning of our human life.

Are you Catholic? I am not but I am slightly familar with some of the protocol.
As far as a birthday on ash wednesday::: That will only fall on ash wednesday once in a while. There is No signifigance.
Sin durring lent? It is the same as sin any other time.

Lent is a catholic/ Christian holiday and you will not find it specifically mentioned in the bible. It marks the 40 days that Jesus went with out food and was tempted in the wilderness. The Christian/Catholics feel that if Jesus can go 40 days with out food then we can give up something for lent.

Celebrate Lent in remebrance to him and his life and the sacrifice he made but do not get hung up about dates and birthdays. Is someone born on December 25th any more special than some one born on Good friday or the forth of July??

No I don't think so. It is just a date on caledar

Well, I'm not Catholic, so a birthday on Ash Wednesday wouldn't bother me. God knew when your birthday was going to be and he must have thought it to be good. And, for the second question, I think God will be upset ANY time you commit sin. One day doesn't have to be more important that another. If you steal one day after Lent versus the day Lent starts, the sin is just as equal.

We don't live under the law anymore, so no you will not get punished more. We live under grace. Try your best to do what is right, all the time. Ash Wednesday is a tradition of men, nothing God ever established in scripture. God actually says to flee the traditions of men.

Lent is a MAN MADE "law". Don't put too much thought into it.

Those are catholic doctrines only.however no being born on any day is the same as the next, and sin is always sin.
