I have read that Adobe Premier is a good - albeit high end software that enable you to edit your movies
at the lower end of the spectrum. Microsoft Movies might satisfy your needs and it is free

If you want to go the free route, if you have windows it comes with Movie Maker. I've heard bad things about it from professionals, but my parents love it, since it's easy to use.

hi Josh, the perfect loose software is top VideoSpin, a freely downloadable non-linear video editor equivalent to Studio yet with numerous good factors lacking. different lacking good factors comprise the storyboard, the skill to capture digital and analogue video, the video and audio toolboxes, the SmartSound/Scorefitter song generator, SmartMovie applications and DVD burning. It does have the most important set of excellent factors that a loose version may have. understand that they favor you to ultimately purchase their Studio version of the software; however that's dazzling for homestead videos.
