im going to get brace what do they do? when there about to add the braces???

Don't worry, just let them do their thing and you will get thru it.
I had braces 10 years ago and don't really remember what they did, I just remember them doing the mold for the retainer after the braces came off!

They will put bands around your last teeth on either side, top and bottom. They will then glue something to each tooth - I don't know what it's called, but it's what the wires go through.
They will then insert the wires through each device and into the band on either side, also top and bottom.
They then tighten up the connection so that the wire is tight. The wire is use to bring the teeth up or down and into alignment. Every few weeks they will tighten things up a bit so that as the teeth move into place where the wire was, they will have a new position to go to. This explains why it hurts everytime they adjust the wires.
Good luck - it's worth the time, trouble and bit of pain in the end!

Don't worry. Is not gonna hurt. I got my 1 week ago.
First they put this thing on your mouth which make your mouth bigger...so they can put the thingies in.
Second, they put that little square thing with glue, then you will asked to brush your teeth after the time is up.
Third, they will put on the color band thingy(choice of two colors) and it may be changed every time you visit.
Fourth, they put on the wire.
You are not gonna get it tighten that day and you may feel alittle sore for 3 days.
Oh, and you can't eat certain hard food. (gum, carmel...)
And they will give you this dental kit that includes(I got it...):
-Special toothbrush
-Dental mirrors (the one they use to check your teeth)
-Floss
-Timer (2min)
-Floss threader
-This brushing thingy for the wire.

they clean your teeth then put glue on your teeth then put the brackets on then put a light on so the glue will dry then they put the wire on
***it doesn't hurt at first then like 3 hours later it hurts alot so take pain medicine BEFORE it hurts it will not hurt as much***

it really hurts about 3 days and you get canker sores and you have to go and tighten then
