First of all - is this your first job in this area? If so, you should not have been hired without prior questions and knowledge of your experience and the degree of training needed in order to fulfill your responsibilities. It does not matter what kind of job you are in - you still need basic training and explanation of company policies and directives. Don't just sit there and do nothing. Talk to your supervisor! Create a list of items you want to know. Be detailed and explicit in that you want to do the best job possible however, you want to know when your informative training will begin. Put the onus back on them. And no- you can't survive any job without proper training and assistance. Not knowing what kind of 'loan officer' you are - I am not sure that anyone can email you with information. You will have to research this on your own - but first - talk to your manager or supervisor.

I've been through the same situation with other jobs I've had and what I found useful is asking questions, reading up on any notes or papers that the previous employee left behind, read any manuals or procedure books around and asking someone close by to help you when you get stuck.
Here is a website that offers help and gives you the loan docs you will need for your job.

Why would you take a job that you don't have any experience in anyway? Try asking a fellow co-worker that you feel that you can trust, and just ask them for some help. But be careful!!! some co-workers will turn on you and tell the boss that they hired someone with no training.

If you do not get someone to mentor you through the first weeks of this NEW position, you will not succeed.
They should not have hired you for this position without the proper training and preparation. I hope you are observant and a very fast learner. You are going to need those qualities!
Good Luck to you.

They obviously expected you to know your stuff already. If it's a commission-paid job, they probably have a high turnover and it's basically a sales job. Bet you are good-looking, and outgoing. Your job is to smile and pull in the business. Sorry for the heads up, and best of luck.

Your question might get better answers if you put it in the correct category. Unless you are a "grade-schooler" asking this question it really doesn't belong here.
BTW - the spell checker on this site works great - you should try using it.

What are you doing in the grade school category except you spell like one? Ask them what is up with the training ? Why are you asking us? I hate that!!!!

Well you need to try use proper grammar and spelling. You clearly need more rudimentary educational training.
Good luck, your going to need it.
