ZoneAlarm provides a very basic, cut-down version of its strong firewall for free use. I was using it until about 20 days back, when it started showing problems. So, I switched over to Comodo, another free firewall, and IT IS AWESOME! The icing on the cake is that the full version comes for free!! You can download it from here:

No, i actually use Zone Alarm safe practices Suite which also has the antivirus and antispyware. yet I used to apply the loose ZA and professional earlier. they are, IMO, the superb firewall accessible. the in trouble-free words element that is flaky about ZA is in case you run a huge pastime, noticeably an pastime, then it type of feels to hog a touch more suitable CPU capacity (i wager it truly is attempting to benefit each packet coming by skill of). yet another element is often on some classes (no longer all) that you run the deploy for the first time, it would run sluggish till it receives achieved. I frequently placed if offline in both of both situations. i have not had any hacking problems with this technique.. I truly have inadvertantly were given a trojan or secret agent ware application earlier, notwithstanding the 2d it tried to transmit some thing on the information superhighway, huge popup, this technique receives blocked and it tells what application and site is making an attempt to get entry to the web. a minimum of now you recognize that some thing malice is going on.
