I have done Pilates, not yoga. I like it. Did it for a few months a few years ago. I didn't have much for weight to loose at the time, but I did tone with it.
Try this one too -- 10 minute solution, kickbox bootcamp. There are 5 - 10 minute programs in it and you can mix and match. Do 1 or 3 or 5 as you choose. You really work up a good sweat with it. $10 from Wal-Mart.
Mix and match with the Pilates, Yoga, Walking, Other.... Keep your body guessing and you will have better results (and it keeps you from getting bored with it too!).
Good Luck!

The option among Yoga and Pilates will depend on what you're watching for. If you wish an undertaking that improves flexibility whilst firming your muscle tissue - specially the ones abs - then Pilates is usually your larger option. If you wish to pay attention a bit of extra on flexibility and rather less on firming (maybe you are getting your force coaching somewhere else), and you're additionally shopping for some thing that is helping shrink pressure and offers you an possibility for a few quiet time, you then will have to take a look at Yoga. If you've powerful devout convictions, you might also be larger off with Pilates, despite the fact that many Yoga categories nowadays present very little philosophy and are applicable for all devout persuasions. Either option is well - you are modifying your frame's wellbeing in some way no different sort of undertaking can accomplish.

Pilates is great. It totally changed my body. It's more difficult then yoga and results are a lot better. Its also cheap (which is good for me). I just bought a mat and a few videos. You should try it!

Yes, Pilates is great, you really do tone your muscles. I agree with the previous answer about it being cheap, too. All you need to start is a video and a mat. Try www.collagevideo.com.
