i just found out my mother is in critical condition and my not make it very long. i am in the army and live in savannah georgia and i am trying to get to billings montana. i f anyone knows how to get there sheap please let me know! i have tried every website emaginable and cant find anything! hotwire, cheaptickets, orbitz delta, united, southwest airlines, and about ten others please help me!!!

Airlines usually offer what is described as bereavement fares ;To qualify you must be a member of the immediate family and you must provide the name of the hospital and attending physician
If there is anything nice about bereavement fare sn it's the fact that they are opened -ended You can return when you need to.
As you know Montana is Northwest airlines territory.
The best fare I could find was from Jacksonville -JAX - To Billings -BIL- via Minneapolis/ St Paul -MSP-
All on NWA $817 based on a 7 day advance purchase if however they can give you the lowest possible fare based on a 21 day advance purchase it would be $ 529.10
so they do have wiggle room.
total time under 6hr +the 1.5 hr drive to Jax

Most airlines have emergency special fares for situations such as yours. They also have grievance fares for making it to funerals (hopefully, you won't need this, though), but, you have to speak with the airlines directly. You may want to try to drive to Atlanta or Charlotte to get a better fare. Small city to small city flights tend to be quite high. Also, know what airlines service Savannah and Billings before you make the call.

I do not know when you want to leave and come back, and as you know that is crucial. I used the website www.bookingbuddy.com. I used the dates Jan. 16th-18th. On the website it searches other websites, I searched Expedia through bookingbuddy.com and from SAV airport to BIL airport, round-trip is $954 without taxes. I searched all the websites I have heard of and have not and this price was the cheapest. Good luck I hoped this somewhat helped! Prayers and thoughts are with you and your family

Call the airlines and explain your situation, they may be able to work with you. Otherwise you may have to take the hit, but it would be worth it because this is for your mom...

Your're never going to find a cheap ticket to billings. It might be cheaper to fly to Denver and rent a car and drive to Billings. I hope you make it.
