The shelf life of unopened Campbell canned products varies from 1 to 2 years. In order to experience optimal color, flavor, aroma and texture the product should be consumed prior to the end of the month displayed on the product.

Within reason - if a can of campbells soup is properly stored and the can maintains its integrity (in other words not dinted, marked or warped) it will last for 50 years. Certain claims and guarantees are made about the freshness and quality of their product and that is what they have the date on the can...this is called the "best before date".

Yes - the best by date tell you how long an item will remain fresh - these items are way past expiration and are safest discarded. For future reference canned items are still safe for up to 1 month past expiration as long as the can is uncompromised. To prevent this happening again create an Emergency notebook with copies of important documents and a list of all your emergency supplies as well as their expiration dates - every year check this book for any updates required and replace any food items that are coming close to expiration, so that you can use them and not waste. Good Luck!

I would NOT use it, personally. But you could try calling Campbell's for their opinion.
