Try the Blue Book of Gun Values by S.P. Fjestad. You can tell the where it was made by the proof markings. And when it was made by the serial #. There are codes on the barrel that will tell you the choke of the barrel. There is pricing from 60% to 100%. You can buy the book at gun shops or on line. If your gun is 100% with the box YOU HAVE A VERY NICE GUN ON YOUR HANDS..If it is just marked classic with the box it could be worth in the $1000.00 range. if it's mark gold you are looking in the range of $4000.00. Any way it goes you have a find if it is truly unfired and in the box.

Go to the Browning Web Site and price one. You will NOT get a new price though when selling it unless someone does not know anything about guns
