1) you have to walk through the whole shop to get to the products - that means past all the couples having domestics whilst their kids run riot and then into your trolley. The parents then look at you like your the anti christ.
2) it never goes together properly when you get it home which means you end up having a domestic with your other half because you've got a migraine after all the screaming brats in ikea and instead of helping you he's watching 'sports disaters 5'.
3) it looks like ****

(1) I don't like the name "ikea." (2) I is only safe for a straight guy to walk into an Ikea store with a woman with him - would be caught dead there by myself. (3) There is no Ikea store near me geographically. I don't actually agree with anything I just wrote or saying that they are true - I just figured they would be reasons. Good Luck!!!

I hate how you have to pick your own stuff out of the warehouse.
Then they charge YOU 50 pence for using your debit card. this is so they can "pass on the savings to their customers" apparently.
As I go round I always get this mental picture of "a typical IKEA customer" and it's not something I can identify with.
Oh and another thing. You can't take your damn trolley to your car, you have to bring your car to the "pickup point" and there are always these stroppy cows fighting for parking spaces. Before loading one lamp shade into their boot.

Couldn't find the item I wanted in the pickup area. And of course there was no one there to help out.
By the time I got to the checkout area I was exhausted and just wanted to go home, not wait in the looong queues.
They don't deliver; they have a "delivery service" on tap for which you pay so much extra it nearly doubles the price of the furniture.

1. You can't buy online (although this is changing)
2. Queues too long
3. Items not in stock or couldn't find in warehouse
also a 4th if you'd like:
4. I drive a Ford Fiesta, so there's not a lot of scope for driving larger items home!
