If abortion is a necessary evil, it's because the anti-abortionists decided to make it so. The fact is that the anti-abortion industry is what has caused there to be so many abortions of fetuses, by opposing sex education, birth control, morning-after pills, and those abortions done early enough to be morally unobjectionable.
A specific case-in-point: a few years ago the Congress passed and Bush signed a deliberately unConstitutional late term abortion ban. They knew when they wrote the ban that it would be overturned in court, and it was. They could have instead passed one that would pass Constitutional muster, but that would have defeated the political purpose of the ban, which of course was to get Republicans elected (hey, how'd that work out for them, anyway? LOL).
In short, at the insistence of the anti-abortionists, the Republicans chose not to pass a real ban on late-term abortions. How many such abortions do you think have been performed since then? It has been about 4 years. How many babies were killed in that time by the anti-abortionists' insistence on using your beliefs as a political tool?
Let's be honest: if you believe that abortion is murder, you cannot morally support the Republican party or the anti-abortion groups. Both have already used your vote to put politics ahead of human life.

I also agree that abortion isn't murder. Murder doesn't occur until a living being fills their lungs with oxygen for the first time.
This question reminds me of a bumper-sticker I once saw:
"Oh look honey! Another pro-lifer for war!"
I think it's pure hypocrisy when pro-lifers (usually Conservatives) support war, which kills thousands each day. But apparently, that's okay.

I do not believe that there is ANY evil that is necessary to be done. I am a Christian and I believe that NOTHING in Gods creation happens without him first knowing it will happen. He is either almighty or he is not. You cannot mix your feelings on this based solely on the topic at hand.

We should care about war and abortion and every other evil.
We do not need to be limited to caring only about one thing.

So you would rather save the unborn who havn't developed cognitive thought than save those fighting for their lives?
I think you have a problem dealing with the destruction of something with human form.

We?
You're one of them who did?
Don't include me in this mess.
I'm not involved and has nothing to do with it.
You're question is another way of saying I'm responsible too.

Abortion is not murder, going to war to fight muslims is. I believe life begins when the labor pains are over, not before.
