Tanks, Planes, Men, and Ships, while important and required for a secure nation in these times, pale when compared with the ability to destroy a city with little or no warning.

As far as Armies go the US and it's European Allies are all about the same. Naval strength the US is head and shoulders above anyone else. Airforce, once again the US is far ahead. The newest European fighters are marginally more capable than the latest versions of the F-15, and F-16 but the new F-22 is leaps and bounds above anything else. There isn't anything on the planet that can come close to competing with it. The F-22 gives the US total air superiority.

There is no doubt that the USA has the most powerful and technologically advanced weapons and systems in the world. Watch the History channel and Military channels and you'll get a glimpse of what I'm talking about.

China. The powerful weapons system in the world is man power. We have some the world most powerfull weapon but where do the parts from these weapons come from. China mostly. Compared to other military are soldier are poorly educated. But america's as awhole are poorly educated.
Also china funded our military by purchasing bond with the money they get by the trade imbalance.

If you are talking about conventional weapons....they are all pretty much the same. One country may make decisons that are unique to their unique needs....so..in some cases one weapon system may make more sense than another...reverse the situation and the opposite is true.....the big differences are in training and logistics.
The world's best tank is useless if improperly used or out of gas and ammunition. So..Army's usually win because they did the best job in school....and had the best supporting supply system.
Little known fact....An Army Brigade uses about 6000 gallons of fuel a day and about 22 short tons of ammunition.. All of this is delivered by trucks....these days,more often than not, driven by someone like Jessica Lynch.

As far as we know, the U.S. is the only superpower, meaning we have the most nuclear capability.
However, since nations like China and Russia are suppressed societies with nuclear capability, we really don't know what they have.
