what colour is better for a new chromakey tv/special effects studio blue or green?

For the most part, the color doesn't matter. As long as the background is evenly lit and no one is wearing colors similar to the background, either will work perfectly fine. Green is usually used now since most people are going digital, and the digital sensor is more sensitive to green than the other colors (green makes up 50% of the digital sensor on single CCD cameras, not the case in 3 CCD cameras though)

The industry standard is Blue, but I see that some people like i pinnicle are sending out green screens. I believe that both are fine, perhaps green cuts down on the shadow problems that occur with blue screens. However, not sure realy as I only use blue.

I have a green screen that I use for some digital photography. It works find but does give off a green cast that can be seen by the critical eye. I suppose the bright green will have less chance on being a color in someones clothing.

I think that with today's technology, there's little to choose from, but I suspect that green is the 'in' thing regardless now.
