I wouldn't do that. Let them be. Their other's will find out eventually. Why be involved with that?

Kidnapping someone for ransom isn't blackmailing; it's kidnapping. What you want to do is blackmailing and illegal (in the U.S. and most other industrialized countries). Morally it's wrong also, as it is blackmailing in the moral sense also.
So I guess technically you COULD do it but don't be surprised if you end up in jail.

That is blackmail and extortion go hand in hand. Blackmail is the threat of going public to cause legal ramifications; extortion is the threat of social embarassment; it is illegal and a felony to do either. Subsequent penalties in the major cities of populated states go like this on average:
a.)Lengthy jail sentences; if you aren't a hardened criminal, over a year is lengthy! You will be raped and possibly lose your life.
b.)Heavy fines: we're talking 5-6 digits, depending on the amount demanded.
c.) Probation/parole after you've done your time, to include surrender of any passport and/or rights to relocate out of state.
Get a job and mind your business, kid. It ain't worth the hassle...

It might not be what you want to hear, but it is in fact illegal. No matter how bad their behavior is, you cannot legally blackmail them. Besides that, why stoop to their level anyhow? Below I have listed a link about blackmail being illegal. Hope it helps.

Absolutely....if you have dirt on someone, let them know and find out how much its worth to them. Try to get physical proof first (pics, with backups made), that puts even more potatoes in your pocket.

Enjoy. Hopefully you'll get enough for a new TV and/or stereo or something cool.

Oh, and if you're worried about people saying that blackmail is illegal...start calling your little endeavor "whitemail" and you'll be just fine.

no it is not okay to blackmail them, don't know about the legal part of it, but morally you are just as bad as them, wanting to get money out of them for your silence. when u do things that hurt people often times it comes back to u and u might be the one who gets hurt. your name and reputation should mean more to u than money does.

I do not know about leagally but I would;nt. It is there bussiness not your. Be sure that there lies will find them out soon. However if you know one of them really well and thier spouse I think it would be okay to tell but only if you are good friends and your relationship with them can handle it, otherwise just let it be.

No-it's not legal or moral-why lower yourself to their level-besides, what goes around comes around. Someone might just do you the same way. Mind your own beeswax!
