It changes different people in different ways. I remember from many years ago.
Should you do it more? Well - it's pretty exprensive - AND - it's against the law. If you were dealing with the world as a drug-free person before - I would say that the benefits do not outweigh the negative factors about it.
I look back at my pot smoking days and shudder to think about how much money I spent on it. Also - you may have drug tests come up where you work (most insurance companies require if for life insurance). You'll have to transport a drug in your car (unless you have a dealer who will deliver - and then you'll have a drug dealer in your home), and what about when you travel? How will you take it with you?
If I were you - I'd deal with life - legally. Buy some chamomeil tea to help you sleep - meditate - do things that make you happy. Pot isn't worth the hassle - in my opinion.

Pot is like any other drug. The effects depend on the strenght of the particular pot used and how often you use it. It is highly (no pun intended) doubtful that smoking pot once, a week ago would still be affecting your behaviour, as in sleeping and feeling better since, this long.
People tend to put a bit too much emphasis on things like drugs as being the cause of both positive and negative things. Some drugs make some people feel good, while others do not feel so good.
If you were not sleeping well or were unhappy before smoking pot, you should look into the causes of your sleeplessness and unhappiness. Pot is not a miracle cure for such things.

Continual use of marijuana will eventually make your body build up a tolerance to it. Occasional use however has good side effects. The more you smoke, the more you will need to smoke to harbor any good effects from the drug.
There also will be a point where you will feel lethargic, and apathetic with a feeling of distance to reality. If that is what your are striving for than save your pennies, buy more, and keep a lookout for the police, because it is against the law in most states.

It does change you. Since I started doing it again I'm more paranoid, aggressive, unmotivated and I cna't stand still. I'm also happier and I sleep better.
You just have to weigh out the benefits versus the negatives.
It can screw you up permanently though.

Marijuana should only be used medicinally, for pain and nausea.
If you use it for mood change, and like the change, it's possible you may need an antidepressant. Never use marijuana for depression, over time, it causes depression. And yes, if it's been that long and it's altered your mood, it is from the marijuana.

I'm not gonna say you should do it again, but it does make you forget all the bad stuff going on, and you're able to just relax and be care free

I don't think one time could make such a difference. Maybe you feel better because that one time made you feel younger and brought back good memories?

It kills brain cells. Seriously. It makes you stupid. So I'd suggest not doing it. Just my opinion.
