I planned my whole life starting from 21. But I never expected to wait until 27 to marry. I am from India and we have alot of cultural stuff as you might have heard off. But I have a good boyfriend for the past few years and we plan to marry soon (not sure when, because of the family traditions). I cannot work after marriage. But healthwise, lets say if I marry this year or so, will I be able to have three healthy kids after I marry? Or atleast 2 kids. My boyfriends sister had an miscarriage of twins and she is 38. Will she be affected by me having kids. This is joint family. The whole family stays together being the culture in India. But I am so scared. I want to have more than one child and ofcourse I know it requires alot of work and hardships but that is been my dream so I want to know if this will affect my health. I have been selfish and scared and insecure and sometimes keep fighting with my boyfriend that I am growing old.I feel like 27 is okay but in 3 years I might be old....

Whew! that is a lot to deal with.

Good luck on your marriage and congradulations.

27 is fine for marriage and motherhood. I would start to worry about having babies around 35. AFter that it gets riskier per year. but 3 kidsin 8 years is easy enough if you pratice alot (Your boyfriend/husband is welcome to contact me through emails to know where to send the money for giving THAT advice :) j/k).

As for your boyfriend's sister and her miscarriage, she will have some problem, but not enough to damage your relationship. Does she have other children? if not then she may become the spoiling auntie and better yet an easy go to babysitter.

GOOD LUCK.

I had my first child at 27 and my second at age 30. I am 36 now and considering having a 3rd. I'm so glad I waited until that age to have children, it has made me a much better parent. I was completely past the selfish phase of my life and was able to be a completely devoted parent. I have some nieces and a nephew who became parents at a much younger age and most times they put their own needs before their children's, I can only attribute that to their immaturity. You could have more than 3 children at your age. The age that problems arise as far as birth defects due to the mother's age isn't until sometime after age 40. You have more than enough time...good luck!

Well as long as you keep healthy I'm sure you can still have three children =) Take this time now to save up money because kids are expensive to take care of.

As for your sister, she should be happy for you if you get married and have children and not jealous or upset. Why doesn't she look into adoption perhaps?

Take each day as it comes. You might have to take only a year off for each child in order to successfully have three but ask a doctor's opinion on that (GYN doctor) because they will know how well in shape your system is.

I hope this helps...

It is generally accepted that you have a good chance of having healthy children without a problem before 35. After that, it becomes more likely that the child may have problems or you may have difficulties during the pregnancy. Depending on how close together you want to have your children, you should be able to have two children and possibly a third before 35.

Yes at 27 you can still have 3 kids or more. I am 25 and have a 1 year old brother. My mom got pregnant with me at 16 and the youngest of my 8 siblings at 41 years old. and as for his sister it may be a little hard for her at first but I bet she will be thrilled for for the two of you. and she will have the benefit of having your baby around to play with and help care for. Quit stressing and good luck with it all.

I'm 32, yes you can but I would suggest having them near one another in years. This is because you can get much more out of college loans and pay them off quicker too. You wont have years and years of continuous debt if they are born within the same 3 - 6 year range.

No, you wont be old. It is actually better to have kids later in life. I think that you enjoy them more and have more patience. Your boyfriends sister just simply had bad luck with her pregnancy. That doesn't mean that you will. Take care of yourself, eat healthy, and you'll have healthy pregnancies. Stop worrying and concentrate on your marriage and the beginning of your family.

this is a psychological problem you are having. yes, we do need to plan for our future in life, but then, not all our wishes and dream will come true. we do plan to arrange and make life easier , systematically and face all obstacles and challenges. you seems to be afraid what will going on with you after few years. what you need to do is to accept the faith. calm down yourself and think thoroughly and you will surely get an answer. motivations are given to you, but you need to solve and help yourself. be grateful and appreciate on what you are having now. all human beings face born, ageing, illness and death. therefore, make good wishes, good deeds, and everyday will be a good day for you. Good luck!
