OSX 10.4 on an older MAC G3????

I have the disks but they are dvds, all I have is cd/rom... any way to install this or am I dreaming??????

I have a beige G-3 with a G-4 upgrade. OS 9.1 is the best I can do with it. 9.2 and higher just isn't going to work on that machine. Live with it or scrape up the bucks for a new machine.
