You can probably do this, but the airlines will charge you a $100 change ticket fee, plus any difference in the cost of the ticket to your new destination. Probably won't be worth it, but give it a try.

check with the airline but be advised you will have to pay a fee to change your ticket
could be $50-100 and the difference in the distance

Probably not. Most economy class tickets are non-refundable and non-changeable.
