What can you use to replace applesauce in a recipe? It's not for flavor, it's used as a liquid. Could you use milk?

Applesauce is most commonly substituted for vegetable oil. You can do that.

I would not use milk. I would use juice (but much less amount that the applesauce). Maybe something you can whip up in a blender more like a puree. Hope this helps.

That depends on the recipe. Applesauce is used alot as a no fat substitue for cooking oil.

yogurt
about half the quantity of applesauce of milk (if it calls for 1 cup applesauce, use ½ cup milk)
oil
