What is the proper Bible-beating response to immigration? I am wondering how many Evangelicals put their money where their mouth is and support so called 'illegal' workers. I know I do.

The truth is, God saved the US as a place to put the weakest saints in His Kingdom, because he knew we couldn't handle persecution. We are not special because we were born here. Those who suffer adversity to come here and suffer persecution once they are here deserve this country more than we who were born here do.

Reponse to Greek American: Julius Ceaser predates the "Vatican" by a couple of hundred years. Nice try, though...

Daisy 23; There is no reason we cannot share the wealth. Are country will not be ruined by Mexicans. Are unemployment is lower then any other industrialized country of our size. Mexicans are not 'stealing our jobs' and we cannot turn them away if they are sick. I dubb you Hypochristian. Likely response you'll receive on Judgment Day? "I never knew you..."

Seals; Surely God doesn't expect us to follow the letter of the law vs the spirit of the law? Weren't those americans who used to help escaped slaves technically guilt of 'stealing' under old US law? Abortion is legal, but isn't also murder?

I dubb you hypochristian... "I never knew you."

A christian response is to kill them, or kick them out. A Christians response is to love them and treat them as the human beings they are. Remember, Christians were once aliens too.

Maybe you'd better READ the Bible!!!! The scriptures say to "OBEY the laws of the land (which ILLEGALS are NOT doing)!!! One of the Ten Commandments: Thou Shalt Not STEAL, and yet illegals STEAL everyday!!!! They steal our JOBS, they steal SOCIAL SECURITY numbers from innocent Americans, not to mention all the WELFARE benefits they steal from OUR poor people!!!!!The Bible says to give unto Caeser what is Ceaser's and unto God what is God's!!!! In THIS case "Caeser" is "Uncle Sam"!! Most ILLEGALS do NOT pay federal and state income tax, so they are CHEATING the government AND the citizens!!!

If you are SUPPORTING their CRIMINAL behavior, then you are AIDING and ABETTING in a CRIME!!!!

If "GOD" had WANTED all these illegals here, then HE could have PUT THEM HERE to begin with!!! God DOES expect us to "follow the letter of the law", unless it goes against HIS teachings!!! The slaves were a different matter!! These people were BROUGHT to this country AGAINST their will!!! AND, some of them were really mistreated!! Some were beaten, raped, etc. So, to help the slaves would have been the right thing to do!!!
BUT, the ILLEGALS, on the other hand, are a whole different story!!!!
Difference:
#1 Blacks: FORCED to come to this country against their will
ILLEGALS :SNEAK into this country againt OUR laws!!!

#2 Blacks:forced to take handouts from their master
ILLEGALS; STEAL from US!!!!!

#3 Blacks:worked and earned whatever they got!!!
ILLEGALS: STEAL from the system!!!!
ILlegals are nothing but a bunch of GREEDY FREELOADERS, and bleeding hearts like YOU are just playing right into their hands!!!!

Senate Bill 1, Section 220, is addressing that question, in that THE PEOPLE WILL HAVE NO SAY, IN THE MATTER OF GOVERNMENT ANYMORE!. This Bill restricts PRIVATE CITIZENS FROM CALLING, EMAILING, FAXING OR WRITTING THEM ABOUT ANYTHING INCLUDING YOUR CIVIL, HUMAN RIGHTS, taxes etc....!

An Illegal Alien is just that! Has Violated the civil laws of that nation and their sovereignty as a nation! It's a CRIME..Real Christians wait in line and obey the Laws of the land no matter how foul, as long as they are within the confines of their Christian values! Romans 13.

Hello! I am a Christian, but that doesn't mean I support illegal immigration. It's wrong! Just because we're a better country than Mexico doesnt' mean that illegals can come up and expect us to pay for everything. Our country does have rules. Unfortunately there are blind people like you who think you're helping them by sneaking them in or supporting them. Do you realize what you're doing? You are helping this country max out all of its funds by supporting more illegals! If you want to help people out so badly, go to a homeless shelter. But if you want to help Mexicans, by all means, leave!

I agree with Daisy 23. Plus, we have given them all kinds of money, and our factories have all moved there. What more do they want???? I will tell you - they want the life we have, but they will never have it because they are not smart enough. I say they should go and make their OWN countries great. Our people made sacrifices and shed blood, sweat, and tears to make this country great!! If people can not see that they are nuts!!! America as we know it - as all you nutty left-wing liberals know it - will cease to exist. Do you think you will be lauded by the media as you are now if Mexicans or Muslims take over? Heck no!

The proper response is found in kicking all of them out!!!!!!!!!! The United States is here in God's perspective to bless all the nations. Look at our direct ancestor Joseph who put up food during seven years of plenty for the seven years of famine that were to follow, We are a nation and citizenship in that nation is a priviledge not a right as the liberals would have us believe.

Ask the Vatican, they are helping all the Hispanic illegal aliens.I'm sure they will give you all the ammunition you need .

Their favorite:

Maybe "Go forth and multiply"

Or my favorite:

"Respect a nations laws" both in your bible

There is a difference in "your truth" and "truth"
I'm agnostic so I see many flaws in your text and your "logic"?

Guess it depends on which group. Like I've never heard your theory of having the US be a safe haven set-up by God.........I thought I heard them all and that is a new one.

I just know he said to obey the law of the land. He felt there were a need for laws coz he wrote quite a few. Don't steal, don't covet your neighbors stuff....on down the line. I don't recall there being an order to rule the world or that there wasn't suffering or unjustice etc. It was more how you deal with the cards given. Afterall...their purpose is preperation to the life in the here after......not making this earthly domain heaven for everyone and definately no mention of ANY country that was expected to take in anybody that wanted to come in.

I got that it was examples of how you should live your personal life.....not judge and dictate to others. You know the....remove the log from your own eye before you try and remove the splinter from your neighbors. Keep your own house in order before you go telling everyone else how to run theirs. Relegion is a guide but it's in reference to the here after.....not on what someone "deserves" here. Remember.....Earthy rewards are nothing compared to what the Father has in store for us in heaven.

I mean Jesus crucifixion was a prime example of someone who did not "deserve" what he got. You are going to have to answer for whatever decisions you make. Some people hire illegals because they feel genuine love for them and their plight. Others hire them to take advantage of them. Some come to this country out of a genuine desire to become Americans and others come here for a few quick bucks and some freebies. Some come here and are greatful.....others are demanding more. That's why blanket amnesty isn't a good thing. All illegals aren't comming here with a pure heart or good intentions either. It's greed at both ends for many.....one's just comming from the low end....while the other is from the high end.

I don't qualify to judge someones "spiritual" intent. I just know what the law is. I don't have to like it or agree with it....but I do have to obey it. Big kudos to people who are here legally fighting for reform because something isn't working. I have no pat on the back for those who just blatently break the law and come here illegally and demand more.

You answer to God for your life in the here after. You answer to man for the laws established here. You can tick him off and are doomed forever. We just send you back to your country of origin. Even he has guidlines and expectations and rules and a consequence for not doing them. God is love and even with that.....you can't just do what you want. He has limits as well. He established borders as well. The "promised land" had borders. All could not enter it. Remember...Moses took those people for what...40 years or so to get there. He lost his faith along the way.....he was allowed to see it...but not enter it as punishment. Eden had boundries and rules but they didn't abide by them and were thrown out. All I know is I don't HATE illegals.....I want laws enforced. I don't blame them for comming here but if their caught and especially if they've committed more crimes......sorry....gotta go. He also warned to not mis-lead your children. How is it Christian to use your children to "anchor" yourself to a place when you broke the law? Isn't that teaching them to lie by finding a loophole to exploit? It's fair I suppose to say it's not right to punish their children for choices the parents made. Yet they want to punish us for stuff things some ancestor did centuries ago. Whether they were a part of it or not. Just seems to me if your going to use a set of standards to go by you abide by them as well. Whether it be spiritual standards or the law. You can't just pick through and obey the ones you want and toss the ones you don't.
