You could be suffering from sleep apnia, which is when you stop breathing for short periods of time, causing you to wake up all through the night and not get to the deeper stages of sleep. Try the nasal strips that snorers use - they may help. Another reason for your oversleeping may be depression or stress.
I would go to your GP, as they should be able to provide you with an idea of why large amounts of sleep aren't making you any less tired. Left untreated, this will probably just continue, making you even more upset and unhappy and more unlikely to get back into regular sleeping patterns.
Hope you get to the bottom of this.

Maybe you're a little out of condition. Your blood pressure may be a bit low. It wont be easy but try and go for a brisk walk. When you get home drink a pint of water. Give it 15 minutes. If you feel a bit brighter go out again later.
In the run up to work, try and get out and get some exercise each day, you maybe didn't do much on holiday and you need a kick start.
It a glorious day out there!

Few posiibilities are
1) Undiagnosed diabetes
2) Hypothyroidism
3) Effects of a virus you are recovering from
4) masked depression
5) snoring + sleep apnea
6) chronic fatigue syndrome
All these can cause excessive tiredness and I am sure there are more causes. Or it maybe nothing. A doctor will have to ask you more questions and possibly do a few tests before he can put a finger on the diagnosis.

as everyone else has said go to a doctors, have you any other symptoms, for example are u thirsty a lot and do u need to pee more often, if so ask gp for a glucose test to see if you have diabetes, my husband found out that way, also, you may be aneamic, have a virus, or there maybe some other explanation, either way the best thing to do is see ur doctor, if for nothing else to put ur mind at rest

Go see your GP. Mishnbong suggested Glandular Fever but you start off with sore infected tonsils and then swollen glands. I had this and was off work for a year (had it pretty bad). Hope you don't have this. Get well soon.

There are many conditions you may have. Depression, mononucleosis, fibromyalgia...etc. You need to visit your primary doctor and have blood work and a thorough exam.
Good luck!

Sweetie, you sound exhausted. Try fruit juices, especially orange, cranberry or apple. The vitamin c can boost your moral & wake you up a little. xxx

If you aren't eating enough vegetables and other healthy food you may feel "unenergized". Bananas are a great source of "get-up-and-go" energy!
