"We all want happiness in our lives and relationships. However, how one achieves happiness in a relationship is one of the best-kept secrets. People involved in top-quality relationships do not seek happiness. Instead, they seek growth. Growth, in turn, creates happiness.
When each person in a relationship gets beyond "I want to be happy" and into "I want to grow," the relationship itself becomes transformed. It's basically a matter of relational addition: One growing person + one growing person = one growing (and happy) relationship"

That is really so beautiful!

The beauty of focussing on growth is, you tend to look for your own faults, instead of looking for others'. It makes you get better and better with time, which in turn causes satisfaction - whenever you look back, you'll find that you're a better person today!

Eventually you're satisfied enough to be nice to everyone and consequently, everyone likes you. You love yourself because of your growth and when you love yourself, you love others more. Love is the secret of happiness, so you're now truly happy :-)

Any quote is only as spiritual as the impact it has upon a person.

If one wakes up one morning and comes to the realization that a simple 'good morning' to anyone they meet is no small sacrifice, even if the other person is quarrlesome, then they become the tool of happiness for others, for in deciding to share that 'good morning', they unwittingly will share it with someone with whom that simple courtesy will bring them a measure of peace.

Now, on the other hand, if someone took that same idea and instead used it to force people into being 'courteous', then the positive effect of such courtesy is lost, for it is magnified by the discontent which its forcing brings about.

A hammer is useful when responding to nails, not when responding to a crying child. Any quote is only as good as the effect it has upon a person and how that person relates to others.

happiness is selflessness and growth is the same.So when you stop thinking about yourself you are always happy and growing. As the saying goes" Be always green and growing, for the minute you become ripe, then you will start to rot .
