I don't work at present, but did for many years as a soldier, a teacher and as a shelf stacker, labourer, veggie picker - u name it. I couldn't count the number of rejections I had. I now try writing and have had further rejections. It's not easy, but always try and remember YOU ARE NOT ALONE. Millions have set backs and the world is never fair. Try to enjoy a hobby, reading, writing - something that is inexpensive to nurture your mind. In the age of big Celebs and money, many of us feel inadequate - but this is a lie. Don't let the buggers get you down. And good luck.

Don't worry you're not rubbish : ) I am looking for a job at the mo and I have found that the best thing is to analyse and write down all of the things that went well and badly.
I find that books like '100 most popular interview questions' really help as you can find the same question or similar and look at the answer and see where you could potentially go wrong. I am not into self help books but have found that I have been more succesful after going through the book and it has been useful to find out from the company why I didn't succeed, no-one has ever said I was rubbish : ) there is usually a valid reason. And if you know that reason you can learn from your mistakes and have a much better interview next time - just be positive and energetic, make sure that you appear happy to take on challenges and are hungry to learn more. You'll be fine there is a great job out there for you and you will get it!!!!
Best of luck x

When you were a baby trying to walk, and you fell the first time, did you wonder if you weren't good enough? You fell, again and again, but you walked, right?
There is no such thing as failure - Edison tried thousands of combinations before he hit upon the right one for the light bulb. He never doubted his ability, he just said, there must be something else!
In the same way, there must be some other job! You know, God only wants the best for you. Maybe He wants you to go through a few interviews before that really big break, so that you're experienced enough to come out with flying colours :-) Trust me, I've seen wayyy too many cases like that!

Do you know why you did not get it?
If it was a job you really wanted and you think you were good enough, why don't you phone up your interviewer and ask them for some feedback.
After all, you may go for similar positions and you might get a useful piece of information that helps you nail the next one (the job, not the interviewer).
They might have liked you, you might have had a bad interview or somoene else might have had more experience (dodgy in these days of age discrimination) or moer qualifications.
Go on, what have you got to lose?

I am sorry that you didn't get the job you applied for! Believe me, everyone has been in that situation. It sounds like a lot of people have cheered you up pretty well, so allow me to give some suggestions for the next interview.
1. Dress to Impress. If you are going out on numerous interviews (like post-college jobs) invest in a nice interview suit. Make sure it fits well. You may use this suit many times during your life and it is beneficial to have one that looks good and looks good on you!
2. ALWAYS SEND A THANK-YOU NOTE! Employers appreciate knowing that you appreciate the fact that they chose to interview and took time out of their busy days to interview. In the Thank-You, reiterate how excited you are about the position, re-cap some of your highlights about how you could contribute to the job, and thank them for their time and consideration.
3. Shake their hand firmly. Don't kill them, but make sure you shake the interviewers hand firmly and give them eye contact. It will make you look confident in yourself.
4. Don't feel like you have to come up with a response right away when they ask. Take three seconds or so to think of a good and relevant response. They will appreciate that you took time to think of a relevant response.
5. Research the company and ask questions! It will make you look like you took time to prepare and that you are really interested in working for them!!!
Good luck in the future!

You were probably too good for the job and wouldnt fit in with all the nasty people who work there. Chin up and keep trying for the ob. Anyway lok on the positive the next one might turn out the job of your dreams. I had a job and the people didnt like me. They used to to say nasty things about everyone who was not in the office and I didnt join in. The manager said I didnt fit in so I left and got a job which pays 3 times what they were and I am very happy.

seem to be sure how a lot it would fee to employ a vehicle for an afternoon. because you'd be travelling a good distance get there early and locate an section to clean up. Spending the more suitable for a house vehicle receives rid of your concerns about the lunch difficulty earlier hand. yet I consider the others in that if he's taking you to lunch you'll maximum in all probability be travelling jointly in his vehicle. it truly is in case you'll lunch someplace that calls for driving. The workplace would nicely be in a downtown section that has a eating position interior of an same progression. in case you're not any further wanting to do the house vehicle then i'd have the close you'll placed on in the interview in a in tremendous condition bag that way they're going to stay astounding and neat. Get there early sufficient to bypass someplace and modify and loosen up somewhat. If he comments on the bag you are able to say that with the cost of gas and all that you try to take public transportation as a lot as achieveable. in case you're saying it that way then he will imagine that it is a few thing that you've been doing for awhile and modify for it. the actual incontrovertible truth that you'll seem astounding and neat there'll be no favor for him to question your modern-day capacity by using driving public transportation. i recognize countless criminal experts in Jacksonville Florida that artwork for large regulation companies that journey the bus to artwork so do not problem. it's going to be tremendous.

so you weren't the best out of a thousand applicants but you are a hundred times better than the millions who don't even try , the more knock backs you get the more relaxed you will become at interviews and the more relaxed you are the more likely a candidate you make . you'll get there and the longer it takes the better you will enjoy the achievement , we learn to ride a bike regardless of however many times we fall of it trying .
you've been delayed not stopped you can do it you just need a chance to prove it . good luck
ps the job probably went to his bit on the sides daughter anyway .

Maybe they felt you were over-qualified!! I tell you what you should do. You should contact the person who interviewed you (if possible) and ask them why you didn't get the job. It does help, and you will also receive advice which you can take with you when you have your next interview, thus improving your chances next time! Don't get down about it! Something better will come along - that is what I tell myself.

Job interviews can be complete lotteries: you never know the agenda of the company involved. I've been to interviews where I didn't stand a chance because they'd already appointed somone internally and they were just going through the motions by interviewing me. Chin up, girl - one knock-back in one interview does not a failure make: keep at it as best you can and you'll find something that's perfect for you!!
