Before more answers come to my original question, I have 1) already checked into the legalities and I am allowed to import a pet bird (not going to US or Australia) and 2) I know of someone who just brought 2 cockatiels on an overseas flight and they were fine. If you are a bird owner who has ever flown with your bird, please let me know how it went.

Im not so confident that safe practices is the problem the following, it truly is even if you are able to also take your parrot with you to a international vacation spot. this may actual remember on the position you're vacationing. many international locations received't assist you to import or export birds- Australia is the kind of international locations- so earlier you ascertain to take your poultry remote places- you had extra ideal examine to make confident that it may even commute remote places. also, even if it truly is feasible so you should commute consisting of your parrot, you'll likely ought to seem into quarentineing your puppy, that may recommend months of quarentine on your usa, and then months extra at the same time as it reaches the country you're shifting to. this entire procedure will be very stressful on your puppy, and it could be a extra ideal theory to imagine about searching him a clean living house with yet another budgie for company, truly than putting him via this rigidity.

havent' flow with my birds but they have been on a 14 hour car ride (budgies). They did fine. I bought a small bird carrier for them, just had one perch in it. Made sure they had food and water the whole time. (might be a good idea to make sure wings are clipped to prevent any accidental escapes should you need to open the carrier). Also , probally common sense, but make sure they let you bring him on as carry on lugage.
