I believe you can be recognized as a dual citizen. However, there are 3 countries in the world that don't recognize dual citizenship one of which is South Korea.

They don't recognize dual citizens, but they don't do anything to stop anybody from being a dual citizen. They advise against it.

convinced. both the U. S. and Canada enable twin citizenship. i'm a twin citizen US and eire. My spouse is a twin citizen also. we are both nicely over the age of majority (AARP contributors).

you can forefeit the us one butI would not advise. contact www.uscis.gov the us citizen office.
or www.travel.state.gov to learn more or www.firstgov.gov when yo become an naturalized citizen you disavow all allegience to any other nation.
