Remember, global warming has caused average global temperatures to rise, by the worst estimate, by no more than 0.6°C in the last 100 years. The current warm weather is *several degrees* above the winter average, not just 0.6°C. So, our current mild, windy winter weather has very little to do with global warming.
In fact, it is nothing unusual and happens every ten years or so.
BTW, a couple of people have suggested that winter is almost over. Errr? We're only a third of the way through. February is usually colder than January, so there's still plenty of time for some snow to fall... and cause all the usual chaos! :)

that's not global warming that just nature, some times it acts strangely. there is no real way to predict how exactly things will grow or react at any given time. Every year will be different from the previous, Next year your strawberries may produce fruit a month late.

Our squirrals are not hibinating although they seem to be a bit disorinated and many are being killed on the roads. Seldom have I seen the corpse of a squirral killed on the road before. They also seem a lot thinner than usual.
Our trees have been showing signs of manic seeding the last few years. Especially the ash and hazel. Some ash seem to be dying and look exhausted.
Many shrubs and flowers are flowering out of season and if we do finally get a good frost a lot will be damaged.

It's happening all over. I noticed in December that my roses had started to bloom again, and then I saw swallows flying around in Bristol a few days later.
I thought it was just me, but since then it's been discussed quite often on R5 Live's "Drive" show - people reporting unseasonal insects, birds and flowers. Something very wrong is happening, whatever the cynics think.

Yes, i live in Scotland and we've had some strong wind...practically non stop since the beginning of the year...first time for us! Plus the temperature is really mild and some bushes in the garden are still green...it just doesn't feel like winter. We haven't used our gloves or scarves so far.

Its cold in other parts of the world. For example, Denver Colorado got the largest snow blast in a century. Its just mother nature doing her thing.... Can't blame everthing on global warming. Next thing you know they'll be blaming summer on global warming...

I live in Illinois, and its only snowed once this year. That was only a dusting. The last few years have had mild winters here but this is just silly.
