See your dentist to have a night guard fabricated. It only requires an impression and can save you endless nights of clenching and grinding and the days of pain that follow. They reduce the effects of your night time grinding that are causing damage to your teeth and keeping your muscles sore by acting like a cushion in between your teeth. Your dentist can determine if your condition is stress related or a medical problem. Some doctors think that malocclusion of the teeth have something to do with it. I've worn one for years and they are fantastic! Either way he/she can only help! Good luck!

I had this problem too and it was causing me massive headaches in the day. It also damages your teeth. My dentist fabricated a bespoke gumshield by taking an impression of my teeth, and told me to sleep with it in my mouth every night. It took about a week to get used to it, but now...no more headaches and better teeth!..

Get a mouth guard from your dentist, doing this too much will hurt your jaw and cause TMJ (clicking jaw when you open and close your mouth)
