There is nothing traditional to buy for a baby born to a Muslim family. You can buy the baby clothes, nappies, or anything you'd probaly buy a non Muslim baby. I am not shocked to read all the ignorant responses from some of the people above me.

Not really. Clothing or anything baby will do. What muslims usually do with each other is give a minimum of $100 for the new baby and then something for the other siblings or more money. I've had two. Are they having a party or a feast? The best thing to do is to visit the mother and baby in the hospital. I remember my room door was like a revolving one, LOL. I also got $1000, all of which I spent on the baby and my now 3 year old daughter. A simple gift is very nice as well. Get a cute set from a nice store, like one of those 15-18 piece sets at Burlington Coat Factory. Mothers love those.

I'm not quite sure about this -

But you could buy something like baby cloths, toys, a teddy bear, ect.

Just because Islam is a diffrent religon dosn't mean they require diffrent things.

Peace.

Ignore the ignorant comments.

There isn't a tradition you can buy what you please, i.e. clothes, a teddy bear or evn just give some money.
