well no,I do not think it right to deny them their existence,we as humans bred them to be this way, this was entirely our doing, hold it,I think I said that wrong,
do you honestly believe that the eejuts that walk around with this banned breed of dog, will not go out and either create another fighting breed,or go onto another pedigree to ruin,to make aggressive etc,all of these attacks are entirely the owners/handlers faults, who has'nt seen the youths walking around UK estates with this type of dog, allowing the dog to misbehave, more to the point why do the government not ban certain age youths from walking these animals in public, and maybe only responsible adults owning them, people that have been trained, and trained the dogs in good citizen schemes run by the government, and maybe do follow up course when dog reaches adulthood, say 2 years of age, then agasin at four, something like obedience/temperament tests, you cannot lay blame at an animals feet, when the person in charge is egging the thing on to do wrong,I do agree something has to be done to protect the innocent, but what about the innocent animals that we created for own pleasure, yeah okay I am waffling on now, sorry

And after we ban the pit bull, what other breed do we ban next? How about the shepherds? And what about the toy breeds? NO, banning the breed will not work. The first responsibility lies with us, humans. If WE took responsibility and accepted our actions the maybe we would not have the problems we have today as a race. If you are going to own a dog that is known for its "gameness", then take responsibility for that. Raise it and train it and keep it like a DOG and there will not be any problems. There are thousands of people all over the planet who own so-called "dangerous breeds" and we do not hear about them. Why? Because they understand the responsibility the took when they got their dog. That is a better solution to banning entire species.

All breeds of domestic dog are created by man. I.e. they have been bred to do a specific job by man. Retrievers retrieve, sheepdog herd sheep and pointers point.

Pitbull terriers and many other types of dog have been bred to be aggressive, fierce and phsically strong.

To ban a certain breed of dog is not the same as wiping out an existing, "natural" species of animal, e.g. the wolf.

Yes I think it is alright. Many people have these dogs that are potentially dangerous and although they don't have kids they still escape and harm children and other people. It's in their blood. If all pet owners out there were responsible I'd have a different opinion. But so many people have dogs because of their danger factor and it just puts too many people in risk when they are not taken care of correctly. It's like having a small bomb around you. I do think it is unfair for these dogs to be exterminated when people are the very ones who bred them to be this way though.

it truly is totally unfair to restrict an finished breed.. yet there are this style of number of undesirable proprietors.. it truly is what occurs of direction even as anybody is irresponsible. Face it.. if anybody were to blame and there had in trouble-free words been one or 2 dogs in difficulty, then they does no longer have banned the finished breed.. it truly is the folk who reason the concern themselves.. more suitable constructive proprietors, have more suitable constructive pets, and breeds do not get banned.

i belie that any dog can be dangerous in the wrong hands. the most docile and gentle of creatures can become a killer. it is the owner, the leader that trains the dog and i think that that persons existence should be banned.

it is NOT cool to have a vicious dog such as a pitt bull as chavs think. it is the mindless idiots that let their dog become killers.
the media doesnt help either. if a retriever was said to have killed someone would people still like them? unlikely because of the fuss that the media would make.

NO!!! I think we should do something if they are going to do that! because it is not fair to the dog if they are going to ban the existence of it!!! some people may have bred them for fighting, but most people like to have a protecting animal around, and a pitbull would be a good choice, but don't have them around little kids, they might bite them! (happened to me, stayed in hospital for a few days had stiches (48)) IT is WRONG to deny the dog or any other animal existence!!!

As already suggested, many of the problem breeds are a direct result of humans involved in selectively breeding them for fighting/baiting.

In short, eradicate the breed and where possible eradicate the revolting humans that breed them or wish to own them.

Was it right for Hitler to try to wipe the Jews off the face of the earth?
People are still sickened to this day by the events that took place during the halocaust. But it's alright to round up all the dogs of a certain breed and drag them from their homes to be put to death?
People who vote for breed bans or sign the petitions for them are no better than those who tried to eradicate the Jews.
Man or beast IT'S WRONG!

They are banning breeds like the pit-bull because of their aggressive nature. So do you fault the breed?? No,its being caused by the people.Very poor breeding, people who have no knowledege of the breeds tempermint, very poor socialization, ect.
But because of these issues the whole breed suffers, they shouldnt ban the breed but screen people who get them, and first and foremost,,get rid of back-yard breeders.
