I suggest you don't get addicted to it. A munch now and then is ok. Alternatives can only be the old fashioned ones like crisp fresh vegetable salad - carrots, lettuce etc. Not very attractive? Well you can't have the cake and eat it too! By the way - visit this web site for more information - http://ailments.in/hypertension.html

Ask yourself if the rest of your diet is okay - if its the salt you're craving (aside from the other delicious crispy attributes!) your body may be trying to tell you that you are low in minerals. Try lots of organic leafy veg, or a very good quality mineral supplement (your health food shop may have a liquid one you add to drinks. Don't take this on top of a multi vit if that has minerals in it). The cheaper mineral supplements don't have the range of minerals the body needs over a long period, and our diet has progressed faster than we have evolved, hence the discrepancy.

There might be alternatives but no GOOD alternatives for all those delicious crisps. What else could taste so good when you get to the last few crumbled crisps hiding in the corners of the bottom of the pack and lick the very last remnants of salt, vinegar, cheese, onion, bacon, beef, sour cream.................................from your fingers?

Buy those old fashioned crisps with the blue bag of salt in them - but don't use the salt.
