You could try MediaMonkey - you can still use an iPod with it. I did have a look, but it doesn't say what systems it's compatible with.

The problem with Windows ME is that there are very few pieces of software designed to be compatible with it.

That's because iTunes doesn't work on Windows ME, it requires XP. Buy a new computer... one that comes with a free Vista Home Premium upgrade (if you can).

If you can't get a new computer... you won't be able to use current generation iPods on it and you won't be able to use iTunes. The alternative is to install Windows XP on your current computer, you can get it online for about $80~$100 but I wouldn't swear to it running that great on your system (since it still has ME this is dated computer).

Oh... Videos... sorry... you are going to need iTunes and you are going to need Windows XP. Well... there's really no work around for someone in your situation... you've just limited yourself too much here. Install Windows XP or get a new computer, those are your only options.

Your iPod will not work with Windows ME, I can't put it any more plainly and even if by some miracle... the drivers actually do work... I can't swear to you being able to do anything with your iPod under Windows ME. iPods were designed for Windows XP (and Mac OSX), iTunes was designed for Windows XP (and Mac OSX). They don't work with anything else.

EVEN IF you can transfer music to it using Winamp, it will not transfer videos. Limewire does not transfer anything, it's P2P for downloading media.

Get Windows XP or get a new computer. It may not be what you want to hear but it's the truth, straight and to the point.

Microsoft Media Player

I have iTunes and Media Monkey and when I had problems I uninstalled iTunes and reverted to Media Monkey. A SUPERB program, not very big and is very easy to use. Also easy to burn a cd straight from Media Monkey. I use Media Player but find media Monkey easier and FASTER. Do try it, it will be worth it.
