Hi..A persistent cough with chest pain and/or wheeze as you have described indicates, in Most cases, a chest or respitory tract infection. These sre more common in the cold months. If the sputum (or phlegm) you're coughing up is not white, ie it is green, yellow or even brown, this usually showa a local infection is present which necessitates a visit to the doctor and , usually, a 5 or 7 day course of suitable antibiotics, which you Must finish Even if you feel better Unless otherwise told by your doctor.Make an appointment today.

Yes, definitely go to the doc, remember to write down the dates it started and whether you have had a fever etc and also if the green phlegm is new or has been all the time etc.
Hope you feel better soon

Normal mucus should be clear and not coloured. Yours is coloured hence this means it is an infection. You should visit the doctor who will most likely prescribe you amoxicillin, this is a broad spectrum penicillin and is the first line for the treatment of chest infections. However of the cause is pneumonia then the treatment approach will be different. So quickly get it sorted out and diagnosed and treated!!!

You should definitely go to the doctors, because coughing up anything is not normal. In addition, if it's green, this indicates that you have an infection.

Yes, you have a chest infection. You should also get a sick note and not go back to work until you are not infectious and feeling better.
You might feel a bit run down and have hot flushes, like flu. Get some anti biotics, get your feet up and take it easy! Don't push yourself to get over it.

if it's a yellowy green you should drink loads of water and you could possibly sort ityourself without a doc, but if its more green than yellow, then you are supposed to see a doctor in case its getting serious. could be a sign of something bad so get to your GP!

Absolutely, the green phlegm (pronounced "flem") is indicitive of an infection. You will need antibiotics to get well. Or you could always let it progress into pneumonia and die.
