In order for our young people to live a full and healthy life, then education about sexually transmitted diseases is a must.
Both parents, high schools/collages and governments need to take responsibility for the education of our teenagers, when it comes to STD's. It has to be a two pronged attack, to ensure the teens are getting the correct information.
This should also include responsible use of alcohol and the pro's and cons of drugs and alcohol.
Well informed young people are more likely to be far more responsible when it comes to safe sex and drugs and alcohol use.

Everyone, not just teenagers, must be educated about HIV and AIDS. The more educated and knowledgeable someone is about HIV and AIDS, the more careful people become.

Are you kidding, of course it is. Knowledge is power, and the more people we can educate on the risks of any STDs, the better. We're living in a society where sex is normal for children, and if we can't stop them doing it, then the next best thing is to make sure they know how to protect themselves. Some religions are against sex education, but I completely disagree. It's just a fact of life now that we live in a world of sex, promiscuity, and experimenting. We're doing it younger, and more often. We need to protect our children as best we can, and knowledge may just be our only hope.

HIV is a big problem for young/to teenagers , as well as adults. In 2005, it is estimated that there were 2.3 million people under 15 living with HIV.
i read an article in a magazine that (Monica: "I am 15 years old and my best friend who is a male has AIDS and we were really close so one night we experimented and after the fact that we "did it" he told me that he had AIDS.")

Sex is not a bad thing. Bad are all things that come from having sex with little knowledge what can happen. Parents can not keep their teenage kids from having sex. The only thing you can do is keep them from suffering the bad consequences. Wisdom and knowledge is the best protection against the downside effects. (How to protect from AIDS, Pregnancy, bad guys/girls,...)
Trust your kids to do the right thing but also give them the info to decide upon the right thing for themselves!

Of course. We wouldnt' want our next generation to be complete with genital warts, HIV and every sex disease you can name.
And to protect them, we must give them knowledge on how to prevent them. Nobody wants those sex diseases. Encouraging them to be safe, test for HIV in your love partner, use condoms even on birth control and so forth.
Plus scaring them with pictures never hurts.

ANY sexually transmitted disease/illness is a MUST know for teenagers of today. People are having sex younger and younger. If they're going to do it, you need to educate them and teach them to be safe.
