Tea is supposed to be good for you and not adding sugar only would make it better not worse. Milk is another issue as they published an article last week on Yahoo's homepage saying that adding milk to tea decreases its health benefits.

Tea is really good for you - it is high in antioxidants that fight cancer and ageing (I'm a botanist!). Don't worry about leaving out the sugar - this just means it is even better for you! Drink cold water too though - black tea does contain caffene - my Granny is so addicted that she has to get up through the night for a cup!!! Good luck with your diet xx

Actually, the milk has a tone of sugars in it, too. You should just leave it out. According to research done recently, tes is actually quite good for you but there is a chemical in milk and creams that counteracts it. So, its best to drink it without milk, use an artificial sweetener to keep it sweet.
