i have no itching, no painful urination, no foul smelling oder. just tiny white bumps. my papsmear last summer was normal, and i've only been having sex with one guy for the past 5 months. i called the doctor and she said it sounds like a yeast infection, but i started the monistat one day treatment, and over a couple days the bumps have increased. what are they?

Okay, if someone has a yeast infection, honey there WILL BE ITCHING! (Unfortunately, I've had a couple in my 34 years of life....)

Go to the doctor or Planned Parenthood even (if it's a concern of you being under 18 and worried about your parent(s) finding out about it). You must be checked to know exactly what it is so that you can be treated hopefully, and so whatever it is doesn't get worse! You'll be happy that you went and the stress and pain will be off of you! Don't be scared or embarassed!

By the way, when you say your pap smear was normal, did you SPECIFY that you wanted to be tested for any and all sexually transmitted diseases prior to the swabbing/scrapping? If not, they aren't going to check your pap smears for anything other than cancerous or pre-cancerous cells, trust me.

He sees a little bump probably because he has no idea what the inside of a girl's vagina is supposed to look like. It's probably just a yeast infection, but you do need to see a doctor about it regardless, not just a trip to the pharmacy.

Yeast infections do not usually cause bumps. If you have white bumps it might be HPV. You should go into the doctor for testing.

i think you should talk to your mom, if you two aren't close go see a new doctor either way. you should also talk to that guy you're having sex with. doctors also say the longer the yeast infection treatment the more effective. ohh on more thing you may be allergic to the treatment. get a second opinion

it could be so many things.

Maybe it is a yeast infection....go to your doctor and he/she can
culture the area.....possibly the doc may test also for diabetic
testing....just as a precaution......

If y0u are a little overweight, it could be over excessive sweating.

I hate to say this but you said you have sex with one guy for the past five months, but has he also been monogomous? No
disrespect but these are all possibilities.

the best suggestion if go to the GYN almost immediately. good luck.

Trust me one of my best friends got vaginal warts from her SO CALLED faithful husband!!! GO GET CHECKED OUT!

Bumps aren't usually signs of yeast infections. It could be genital warts. Make an appointment to see your GYN.
