I think chocolate is ok but I can take it or leave it.I don't know what it is about it that makes ppl crave it. To me they are acting like idiots when they go crazy over it. I guess that I'm the minority so it doesn't matter what I think about chocolate.

I have read in a magazine before (I think it was Cosmo) that when you eat chocolate it causes your brain to produce the same chemicals as when you are kissing someone. So basically, eating chocolate just makes you feel good. And in response to Lulu, vegetarians tend to be less obese and much healthier than meat-eaters. Our risk of cancer is drastically lower than meat-eaters too.

Because it stimulates serotonin production in the brain. This makes people feel good and is akin to falling in love. It tastes yummy and is a naughty-but-nice little treat. Women generally prefer it to men who think its just ok and scoff tonnes of it because they can pretty much shovel it down by the 1/2 stone and not put on half an ounce !!! (life sucks sometimes eh?!?!?)

Because it tastes **wonderful**, it helps the body produce seratonin (and dopamine???), it has a little caffeine, and it's a comfort food. How many of us have wonderful childhood chocolate memories? I certainly do!
Lulu: Every plant food has protein in it, so as long as people eat a variety of plant food (veggies, grains, fruits), they are not missing out on the protein they need. It sucks to eat meat, eggs, dairy, because they are NOT clean food. Chicken is contaminated with poop and salmonella and all the diseases that factory chickens have (and yes, they are very sick birds), milk is contaminated with blood and pus and antibiotics and hormones (which can make some men grow breast tissue... oh yeah!), beef is contaminated with bacteria, e-coli being one of them, and is also contaminated with pesticides, way more than what is found on produce, (all factory animals are contaminated with bacteria, from beef to fowl to sheep to even fish - nasty!), pork is contaminated with trichina worms, and eggs are contaminated with salmonella. Not to mention, *every* animal food has cholesterol, whereas plant food doesn't. The human body has *zero* nutritional need to ingest cholesterol. Animal food causes a plethora of diseases, the ones that take the lives of most people in developed countries, where they eat lots of meat, like the U.S.
Also, eating animals and animal products is downright cruel. The conditions that these animals live in is completely inexcusable, as are the methods in which they are slaughtered. ANIMALS FEEL PAIN AND FEAR, just like the rest of us. Imagine being strung up by the feet, hanging upside down, and seeing those in front of you, one by one down the line, getting their necks slit, and you know you're next, and you're shacked by the ankles and you can't break free? Check it out if you don't believe me. Inform yourself first before condemning vegetarianism.
Besides, most foods come from plant souces, much more than from animal sources.

Chocolate actually makes you happy! So does salt. I'm not sure why, but it also tastes sooo good.
My aunt absolutly hates chocolate and my friend says it makes her sick, though.
