It would NOT be a very good idea in most circumstances. Would it be fair to the child?. Granted, alot of people can live a long time with HIV but you never know. Some people would say " sure it's ok ", or "why should we be denied the right to have kids". My opinion is NO. If you had sex with someone and transmitted HIV to them then you could go to jail. The same should apply if a person deliberately gets pregnant and risks the child contracting HIV and/or AIDS. Medically speaking there are certain things(c-section) that can be done to lessen the chances of transmission but why take that chance? If the person with HIV is in early stages and is determined to have a child then the best way to get pregnant is invitro.(not sexual intercourse) Obviously that would be very expensive and hard to find someone to do it in the first place. Again, some people with HIV 'could' have a kid but not advised. Unfortunately there are so many babies born infected!!!

Generally no. When people contract HIV their genitals instantly combust, that is right they simply burst into flames, leaving nothing more than a burnt out mould where genitals used to be. It is however possible for women who have HIV to give birth via their nostrils. Men will remain sterile.

It is not a good idea, b/c you will pass the virus along to your child. Sometimes babies drop their mother's immune system at birth but it is not gaurenteed. I don't think you should take that type of a chance. Look into adoption or something. b/c if your child is born with the HIV virus then it isnt really fair.

Yes! There's a 25% chance of HIV transfer to the baby during pregnancy if the mother is untreated. With treatment, the mother can lower her chances of transferring the virus immensely.

That would be obvious, and it's a huge problem in parts of Africa, where large portions of the population are HIV + and there's a fairly high incidence of HIV in newborns.

yes they can... but there is risk that the baby will be infected, specially during birth labor, that's why pregnant women with HIV usually have c-sections... it decreases the risk but doesn't eliminate it 100%

you can have kids and hopefully you let your partner know or you go to a sperm bank if you're a woman. its also likely that the kid will be HIV infected. ........................... try adoption it sounds like the easiest route.
