I have windows XP and i cant find microsoft paint. All i see is paint but not Microsoft paint or MSpaint. I need it badly. where can i download it for free or find it?? I dont see it!

Hi there.

*note sometimes the filename is mspaint.exe and sometimes it's just paint.exe ... both are the same*

Below are steps on how you can install or uninstall mspaint providing you have the XP installation CD:

Click Start / Settings / Control Panel
Double-click Add Remove Programs
Click the Windows Setup Tab
Double-click the Accessories icon and
Check or uncheck paint depending upon if you want to install / uninstall mspaint
When prompted for a diskette, insert your Windows CD or try pointing to "C:\windows\options\cabs" (depending on how Windows was installed on your computer this directory may not exist). If this directory does not exist on your hard disk drive you will need your CD.

Paint IS Microsoft Paint.

Microsoft paint is the same thing as "paint". to access it click on start > All Programs > Accessories > Paint. and you can start painting.

start Menu + Settings + Ctrl Panel+ Add/Remove programs Select windows components Accessories, click on the folder. Paint should be checked it it is uncheck, aply the re check and apply again >Poof< done

You can't download it because you already have it. Go to START | PROGRAMS | ACCESSORIES. You ought to see paint there.
