my granny(god bless her),used to swear by rubbing cold Goose grease into the chest and back area,then place stinging nettle leaves all over the chest area,some how the grease stopped the nettles stinging.it worked for us never had a cold or flu since.

a great trick my friends mum taught me is half a mug of orange juice, fill rest of mug w boiling water, squeeze in half a lemon and sweeten with honey. Will coat your lungs and make you feel a lot better. hope it helps
