Make sure she is hydrated!!! Diabetics suffer from dehydration and dehydration can lead to dry skin, chapped lips, and other much more severe symptoms. If her urine is very dark, chances are she is quite dehydrated. Ensure she is drinking plenty of liquids and keeping her sugar levels as close to normal levels as possible. Lack of liquids and increased glucose levels only increase dehydration.

If its not yeast infection or STD, my only other suggestion is sugar. When a person with diabetes has too much sugar in their body, the body does everything it can to get rid of the excess, which is why we become very thirsty. Unfortunately it means it gets flushed out in the urine which can cause itchyness. This can also happen if u're on a course of antibiotics. Keep your blood sugars within normal range and the itching should stop. If you do happen to be on antibiotics, go and ask your doctor for a one off dose of something for thrush - I usually do and it works a treat. If you're on steriods and finding it hard to control your diabetes, I wont be surprised. Steriods reduce the body's ability to use insulin effectively. Try using something like, E45 cream Hope this helps.

You cant cure it, but apply some lotion onto the skin, maybe a kid's scent so he doesnt complain about the smell.
