What I do as quickly as I make the spinach and strawberry salad is that this: First, I make a "mattress" of toddler spinach leaves on the plate. Then I slice up some great, clean, hulled strawberries and placed them on real. then you truthfully sprinkle toasted walnuts over it. For the dressing, I prepare it here way and gain this a minimum of a a million/2 hour in the previous I plan on serving the salad. a million/2 vegetable oil 2 tbsp white wine vinegar 2 tsp. granulated sugar a million a million/2 tsp dijon mustard (as an emulsifier) the juice of one small lemon and purely somewhat it relatively is zest (purely the yellow area) grated finely. poppy seeds sprint of onion powder sprint of garlic powder pinch of dried oregano pinch of dried parsley sea salt and clean floor black pepper to style. make optimistic the spinach is washed yet dry so the dressing sticks to it. placed each and every of the dressing components in a carafe or bottle with a hide and supply it some relatively sturdy shakes to combination each and every of the components then enable it take a seat at room temperature for thirty minutes purely before serving the salad. be optimistic to shake nicely in the previous serving! additionally, particularly of the walnuts, attempt some dry roasted almonds, or cinnamon sugar roasted pecans. it relatively is to die for. And including some gorgonzola crumbles could be sturdy too. additionally, you are able to desire to opt for a balsamic French dressing too in case you are able to particularly something much less candy. Balsamic vinegar enhances strawberries relatively nicely!

Spinach and strawberries are both extremely strong flavors. Your dressing should be extremely mild. Try a simple oil and vinegar dressing, with crushed walnuts.
2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon of white wine vinegar
2 teaspoons of crushed walnuts
salt and crushed white pepper, to taste
This dressing will give moisture (from the oil), extract the flavors from the sliced strawberries (vinegar) and add some crunch (walnuts).

I often make this salad with a couple of additions. First, I cook peppered platter bacon and crumble it, then I add feta cheese and candied walnuts. The dressing that I use most often, if I'm not into making it myself, is a French Dressing or Kraft's Catalina dressing. Yummy!

Balsalmic vinegar is a miracle. It works with meats, vegetables and fruits. I don't have exact proportions, as I cook by instinct, but I use this on my spinach/mandarin orange salad:
About 1/3 cup good balsalmic vinegar.
Sugar to taste. 2 tablespoons?
1/4 cup or so canola oil.
Onion salt to taste
