It came on my tongue also covered with the white coated stuff
after I took medicine for infection. I have an upper respotory
problem and take someting all the time to keep down infection.
Could this have been an allergic reaction to the comanation of
medications? The name of the medication is "Clarithromycin
E R" also drank "White Tea"

Oral thrush is basically an infection in your mouth. It is caused by a yeast called Candida. It tends to infect people who have depressed immune systems for any reason such as chemotherapy, diabete, other illnesses antibiotics, etc. It is treated with antifungal medications. These can be taken orally (often fluconazole) or used as a mouth rinse (nystatin).

You probably have thrush because of a bacterial imbalance caused by the antibiotics you are taking. You should see a doctor soon, because left untreated, thrush can become a serious problem. It might also be a sign that your immune system is compromised.

That is a yeast infection in the mouth. The same thing that babies have. You should have gotten some purple violet too to put in your mouth. Its at the drug store. It is yeast in your blood. Go back to the doctor and let him take a blood sample so you can get the yeast pills too. Thanks.

thrush is a yeast infection in your mouth. thrush can be caused by certain corticosteroids that are for instance taken by nebulizer. if you take nebulized corticosteroids you always rinse your mouth well w/ water afterwards.
