I do believe a normal pulse is reading about 60-80 beats pr. minute, so I guess it's a bit low... But I don't think it's anything to worry about. Remember source criticism... I'm not a doctor, I can only tell you what I think or know. I reckon it also depends a bit about your age?

Sounds kinda low unless you are a long distance runner or some such. I used to be a runner years ago and my resting pulse was below 50.

82 is "normal", 48 and 53 are considered low in the book world but it's relative to the individual. if you're a runner, for instance, then a low heart rate is a more normal thing. my heart rate is always in the 50's at rest and i'm perfectly healthy.

LOW 70'S IS FINE FOOL
SPRINTERS PULSES ARE NOT AS LOW AS UNHEALTHY MARATHONERS
60'S OR LOW 70S IS FINE AND HEALTHY FOR EVERYONE FOOL
ONLY THE UNHEALTHY MARATHONERS HAVE LOW 50'S OR BELOW. THIS IS NOT IDEAL.
SPRINTING WOULD PROBABLY NEVER PRODUCE A PULSE IN THAT UNHEALTHY RANGE.

If you're a runner or otherwise a workout addict, 50 would be about right.
Some people have a low pulse rate naturally.
I'd be alarmed only if this was abnormal for you.

It is for most people. If they exercise a lot, though, it could be fine. If this is not the person's usual pulse rate and they look crappy(Pale, cold skin, listless mental status or altered from normal. Also if they complain of chestpain or trouble breathing) call 911.

Depends on several factors including age of person, conditioning, and what their pulse range is regularly. but the normal adult range is 60-100 beats per minute.
