guy and a girl in an online relationship for a few years. they seperate for a few months and then start talking again. the girl has alot of guy friends but says she has no boyfriend/man/signficant other. at christmas time, this older man she's never met other than online buys her a 200$ gift, and she hides it from me until i find it for myself. i ask her about it and she says theyre just friends and nothing is or has never gone on between them other than friendship, and theyve only known each other for almost 3-5 months. am i an idiot for even trying to believe this? or am i an idiot for not believing that they are just friends?

you give her "benefit of doubt", and she thinks "this guy is an idiot, so easy to play." where as eventhough you are aware of the game but still you wanna givein thinking that may be she is right.
you are smart and sensible - but you are looking for possibilities and are ready to put things at stake. you think still there is a chance. ---------------- and she knows that too. she might be just playing.and this ---"might be" -------- makes you wanna take the risk. eventhough this might be in a case like this means " very very slim chances"

You are not an idiot either way.. I, myself, would not believe that she has no feelings for this man. She must have moved him enough to buy that present! Maybe she is too much for you? I would move on as some women draw men like flies to fly paper. You won't want that and I would not either. May God bless your search for an honest women. Earl
