Dry coughs can be a symptom of a cold or an allergy. Are you allergic to anything in your environment? Is there a mold problem in your house somewhere? These things should be investigated. Drink lots of water to help keep your throat moist.

Vicks 44M , for multi-symptom coughs, including dry coughs.
Take as directed on the bottle, then follow up with a honey/lemon juice mix that will coat & lube the thorat, after that you should be good to go. If cough does persist after that, I suggest you see a Doctor.

try to buy a VICK'S Vaporizer, the ones that you can buy the pads, the menthol will help you loose the cough and help you get rid of it as well. You can use it in your room and turn it on while you sleep, close the door so you make sure the vapor will stay in your room.

increase the volume of plain, non-carbonated, still water your drinking daily to a MINIMUM of 2 litres, and if symptoms persist see a doctor. Drugs and remedies will only help in the short term. If you want lasting improvement, hydrate!
