There are a number of easy snacks to have, and I say have because you really don't have to make all of these:
- chips and dip
- chicken wings
- nachos and cheese
- cookies or cake
- meatball ( you can buy them precooked from the store and just heat them up and add some BBQ sauce or gravy)
- friut or veggie platter

Here's an easy snack for fun with company. Get some Flour Tortilla's(make sure they fit in the fry pan you'll be using). O.K. Butter one side with a thin coat of Margarine, and put it in a fry pan, medium heat. Sprinkle with grated cheese evenly (any kind, i use orange cheddar)........don't go to the very edge either. Then you can put any thing else you like on it........for example cubed chicken or tomatoes, onions mushrooms, hot peppers, etc. You get it. Then when the cheese is fairly melted, fold it over in half and cut into triangles. You can chop some stuff ahead of time and then your guests can help you make their own or what ever. Serve with salsa. sour cream or even Guacamole Have fun

Well you need something sweet so try this recipe. It's a real hit, believe me.
Chocolate Bark (Sooooo easy & Delicious)
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup chocolate chips
1 Row of Saltine crackers
Place crackers on cookie sheet (trying not to leave any spaces btw them)
Melt butter, then ad sugar and simmer until diluted
Pour hot liquid over crackers making sure to get it everywhere.
Place in oven 350 c until sugar gets golden brown 3-4 min appr.
remove and add chocolate chips on top and return to over until chocolate chips are shiny.
Spread chips with back of a spoon, lick the spoon :-) and put in freezer for 30-40 min. Break into pieces and enjoy!

I like doing bruschetta... buy a baguette and a jar of brushetta mix (it should be where the pasta sauces are). Slice the baguette and toast the slices lightly. Spoon bruschetta mix over the top, sprinkle with a bit of either parmesan or mozzeralla cheese and broil for about a minute or so.
Another easy one is chicken wings. Most grocery stores sell preseasoned frozen wings that all you have to do is heat up.

Just be sure you have a mix of salty/spicy and sweet. Men lo-o-ove Lil Smokies simmered in BBQ sauce (have slices of french bread to put them on). Everyone loves nachos (some with meat and some without for vegans). Fat strawberries dipped in melted chocolate make a sweet finale. Add a plate of assorted cheeses and spicy crackers and you're set. Most important for any party--don't forget to enjoy it yourself!

i dont know what kind of party your having but if there is alcohol involved dont make anything to messy. I have a killer stain on my kitchen carpet from a guy drinking everclear and coolaid and chicken roll ups! Plus people who are drunk tend to drop things and not pick them up! Finger foods like cheese and crackers are best because you dont need plates or silver ware and thats just less youll have to spend later cleaning up your place.chips and salsa are good. and chips and dip are always a great idea

for most parties, people want to have snacking foods these include:
chips, pretzels, chex mix, popcorn, and candy
another snack that i have found to be very good (and addicting for many) is muddy buddies, they are made with chex mix and they have chocolate and peanut butter on them....they are delicious! here's the recipe for it (I've thrown quite a few parties since the holidays and those have been the big hit. they are also very easy to make!

Some snacks that me and my friends love are chicken salad. That you buy in the can at sams club or bj's or costco and add mayonaise with saltine crackers. It's the best!!! and also frozen grapes! (but they have to be purple)
