Some STDs will be screened with a blood test. But the reliability is not 100% in many cases.

Depends on the STD. Syphillis, for example, has a well defined lab testing protocol. HIV likewise has a number of tests available. Some others, notably gonorrhea, do not have any blood test

No, not unless you're being specifically tested for HIV and not at all for others. Most STD tests involve a specialized examination that involves a mucous sample.

HIV is teted by a blood sample...so is syphillis and gonorrhea. Chlamydia, and human papilloma virus have to be tested with skin culture on the part...such as the cervis or anal wart.

HIV is checked with a blood test. Syphilis is checked by a blood test. Genital herpes are visual and a swab, Chlamydia is a swab, Gonorrhea is a swab, Sexual warts are visible. Have a nice day.

you can find out if you have syphilis (which is making a comeback), HIV, or hepatitis. I think there's some sort of herpes viral that is checked through blood, but I'm not sure the specifics of it.
