Walk or ride bike and then put you feet above heart level for at least 20 minutes, 40 is better. Wearing compression hose also helps to keep fluid from pooling in your lower legs and making the circulation worse. I drink plenty of fluid, as long as you aren't on a fluid restricted diet, because it your body keep the fluid moving. Sounds silly, but it's true.
Don't sit for long periods without moving. If you are working at a desk, watching TV, sitting reading, etc. make sure you get up at least once an hour and move around. Even if you just march in place, or lift you legs up while sitting and flex you ankles, move your feet.
Keep those legs elevated at night too. Good luck!
