My blood pressure is sky high.
Please give me some tips on bringing it down.
I am 48, and not overweight. Excercise regularly, and try to eat a lot of vegetables.
Salt intake is at minimum. Thanks.

High blood pressure is really nothing to screw with. You need to really go to a doctor or since it is the weekend you should run to the out patient. They will give you meds to take until monday. Letting your blood pressure get too high can not only cause you to have a heart attack or stroke but your kidneys can also shut down and believe me you do not want that too happen. Good luck, I hope this helped and please get to a doctor ASAP. Claire

It sounds like you are doing everything right but sometimes family genetics is too strong. You should gather your family history and schedule an appointment with a doctor. It would also be helpful for the doctor if you checked your blood pressure for about 2 weeks with readings at different times of the day and write down any activity you are doing at the time and take that with you to your appointment.

Well since you have elevated blood pressure I can't recommend sprints ........yet

In other words do workouts you have not done before experiment

Try a 2 hour walk or more split up into 30 minutes

Also medication might be necessary.

Go to walmart and buy some garlic tablets or if you are brave just buy some garlic cloves and chop those puppies up into your food.
