we are going to the movies in 2 days and I like her a lot....... but I don't want her to realize that I have a chesty cough, have u been In that situation before??? what did u do??

You really need to see a doctor. Your cough will probably require a prescription. It could be possible that you have bronchitis but only a doctor will know for sure. Your description though, fits it perfectly...coughing until you gag. Also, if it is bronchitis, it explains why you have had it for so long. Untreated bronchitis can hang on for months! I know as I am prone to it and have learned to get it treated rather than suffer coughing/gagging spells for several months. Please see your doctor and get that cough under control before your big date!
